The vase is covered with two layers of Bourette silk and anorak cord. The base layer has long floats that give a silk cocoon-like expression. The top layer is a more transparent structure that frames the cocoon. The four Silk Cocoons are currently being constructed for the 30th Anniversary Exhibition of Digital Weaving Norway.
